Texas INSURANCE AGENTS
For Recruiting, we rate Texas Insurance
Agents #3
|
Why Our Marketing Research Rates TEXAS Insurance Agents as #3
Texas insurance agents were analyzed over and beyond
normal boundaries in preparing this marketing report. We closely evaluate
our immense insurance database looking for trends, statistics, and figures.
Then we look at Texas insurance agents as to how many brokers do they have.
We closely match this info to the demand from our clients: insurance company
recruiting directors, regional recruiters, brokerage firms, wholesalers,
independent marketing firms, and state managing general agents. Next we
factor in economic, demographic, and educational data. Last, and certainly
not least, we consider the feedback received from recruiting firms that mailed
Texas insurance agents.
Lets look at the
negative side of locating quality Texas insurance agents
first. Over one of four insurance department agents is licensed
with a very controlling captive multi-line insurer. Just look in the yellow
pages, and you will find listings of agent after agent advertising State Farm, Farm Bureau,
AAA, Nationwide, and similar carriers. Being realistic, you know none of these
agents are worth your time pursuing, and definitely not 25%
to 30% of your recruiting budget, so avoid them.
It costs the same to try to recruit the wrong agents and it does the
right Texas insurance agents.
The recruiting tip here is "do not mass mail,
lasso down the smaller town"
The recruiting power tools evident in Texas is (1) the agent turnover is
below the national average, and (2) the number of independent agents and
agents that broker outside their primary carrier is above the national
average, (3) Texas has
the 2nd highest number of brokers, but drops down currently to #12 on our
client demand. If you are smart to act fast, better than imagined results are
obtainable, and (4) The chart below shows how Texas is experiencing a surge
of new residents. In the last 5 years Texas agent numbers have not increased
correspondingly with new residents. In fact the rate of 2.68 agents per
thousand is one of the lowest nationwide. These agents need
insurance products with strong benefits and respectable commissions to sell
to their clients
Add to this factor the small amount of unionized employees,
even though housing construction is booming. With
these people lacking employer benefits, plus the
low percentage of retirees, and you have a golden egg for health and
medical plans. Financially based on family income, Texas
might not be your prime state for annuity and investment products. Texas
life insurance agents that broker tend to use outside carriers for
annuities, life, and health plans. Therefore the number of companies they
choose to broker with is far above the national normal.
TIP:
The five largest counties in Texas are hit 2 to 3 times as hard as the 80+
remaining counties. Starting with the overlooked 55% of agents will greatly
enhance interest and response to your product. This
is a state where your recruiting quality must greatly outweigh quantity.
Profitable results are the result..
